Not really busy...

...I just haven't been motivated lately.

I have been reading other blogs and commenting and there are some really great writers out there. I want to hang out with all of you and drink margarita's for Cinco de Mayo. Next to you all, I am a peon. I just haven't felt like blogging myself. I guess it gets old. Who wants to hear me anyway?

Some things I've been thinking:

I'm going to take pictures of girl's old rug and her new rug. They measured her room. Home Depot is full of assholes so I'm sure there will be a fuck up sometime soon. Plus, they are coming to measure my yard for a fence. Oh, Joy. Plenty of excuses to fuck up there. Can't wait for the festivities to begin!

Spring has sprung. But I feel like snow. Cold and annoying.
March has never been a great month for me, not terrible, just long. When you are teaching in NYC, March is the longest school month without vacation and the teachers used to get very antsy. I still feel that way. Antsy. I am waiting for the nice weather and in the meantime I can't enjoy it in the moment. I hate that. Years of therapy have taught me to enjoy the moment and I have forgotten how to do that already. It hasn't been that long since I've been away from it.

My dog is eating my kitchen cabinets.
Here's what most of them look like:
Here's what he's done:Here's the dastardly dog in action:
(Notice the fucking chew toy right in the shot!)
Here's what's gonna happen to him:
I swear to all that is holy!
I am not kidding.
I hate this dog.
No matter how hard I try to like him, I just can not.

Then, there's the dust. It doesn't matter how many times I dust. The bastard bunnies rear their ugly, fluffy heads and attack. They are under every item of furniture and on top of every smooth surface. Now, with the sun shining in through the windows I see it more prominent than ever. All the areas I have missed or neglected are calling my name. Swiffer how dare you betray me! Dog hair be damned!
I surrender. The dust bunnies have won.

I've been going to the gym a lot these past few weeks and my body feels trim but older. I can't help it. I'm getting older. Older. And weaker and less flexible. I'm aching in areas that never ached and feeling it. Boo Hoo. Big Baby.

But, then again my "Hat Trick" is coming up and I think I'm gearing up for that. Therapy has taught me to face the shit head on and I think I am trying to do that this time around. It is just a scary scene. Brace yourselves.

However, I'd like to end this rant on a positive note. (If you are still reading.)
Girl is getting really into dancing. She is dying to take a dance class ( I don't think she realizes I won't be there). But she's been obsessed with dancing. Dancing all over the house, yard, wherever you let her.

"Red Ballet Dance"
by The Girl
She has been perfecting the moves she already knows by heart. And adding newer, graceful arms and kicks. I am so proud. I will git that kid into dance class if it's the last thing I ever do!

I'd love to go out for Margaritas!!!! Can we have chips and salsa, too? Cause I totally love chips and salsa.

I always hated April working in schools. No breaks, spring was in the air, the children were worse hooligans....

Good luck with the f*ckers from Home Depot!

I understand. I think it's the weather that keeps us dopey until the flowers come out in abundance. I'll whine with ya. And oh, by the way, my pup has ruined my cabinets, too. He's lucky I don't drop kick him.

Come on over - I'll cook for ya and we can both stare at the foot of snow still outside my window.

Erg.

WUV YOU!
xoxo

Ooo those cupboards! No wonder SF sticks her finger in his butt! hehe! He is lucky it is not worse! (ps I love dogs really!)

Hopefully the f*ckers from Home Depot will pleasantly surprise you :)

I got all antsy this month too, but it is almost over! April is a good month :D

You sound like you're in a funk, a lot of people seem to be feeling the same way this year, or maybe I'm just noticing it more this year.
My advice for your dog, apparently there's this dog food, it's been recalled, but if you can get your hands on some of it, it might solve your problem. :) If you find some, I want some of it too.
I don't know what to do about the funk. I have a good joke, I'll email you.

I had someone give me a weimraner once...he tore my rec room to shreds! Tore the plaster off the wall, scratched up the door, left toothmarks in the door knob... I can totally relate to the RIP!

How can you get mad at that cute little face?

Come on, Home Depot isn't that bad!

And you love your dog. You know you do. Although the "RIP" picture is hilarious.

Good luck with SF and dance class, by the way.

:) I know what you mean, sometimes I just don't have a clue what to blog about. Sometimes i'll even ask Ryan....what should I blog about today? If I can't think of anything, I'll ponder about it for a few days lol then post. I'm not the most tallented of writers that's for sure (even though I have a major in it and teach it to high school students lol) But if I was near I would love to go out for margarita's.

As for the picture of your cupboards, if you didn't show the proof I would have said there's no way that cutie-patootie would do something like that!? I can understand your frusteration though. (btw, I was wondering, did you have your dog before your daughter was born?

I just know a couple who has a dog and treats it like it's their baby, I accidentally said once "you leave the dog at home (because I hadn't seen it yet) and they said, no we wouldn't do that, he's a member of the family now"....then the dog came jumping on my couch. I should do a study sometime on wether or not people are that close to their dogs if they purchaced them after they had children. Anyway, that's enough of my rambling. Have a good day.

I think EVERYONE needs a rant from time to time! You HAVE to go see the post I did yesterday....it is SO perfect for your mood!

Hey! Cinco De Mayo is on a Saturday this year.....feeling like coming down to the deep south? Margaritas are ICE cold and the chips and salsa are OUTSTANDING!

We could get into some serious trouble! Just a thought!

Hope the week gets better!

I will take your dog. I have always wanted a Boston. Don't tell Mark he chews cabinets though.

Bloggers block, huh? Common. It'll pass. I love to read your stuff! Keep it up.

You have one naughty pooch, by the way, and Stink is some darn good artist! ;-)

I know that blah feeling! Also, such a freaking cute dog to be such a nightmare. Love the cabinets, BTW. Can't wait to see rug pics.

I could spend a day reading other people's blogs. And I know what you mean; unless I have something to say; it seems a waste to jot down just anything. I still enjoy reading ya though ;)

omg, your poor cabinets! they look pretty new too! wow. glad i have cats. DECLAWED cats.

I sometimes go a week or more between posts for the same reason ... nothing exciting to say ... but that's okay. Just know that there are those of us that love reading your blog, so don't give up!! Promise??

I can't believe what your dog did to those cabinets!!
Holy cow!

Major Party Foul!!
I can't believe Artie chewed your cabinets like that!!

Wouldn't it be so fun if all of us bloggers could meet somewhere for a big picnic!!!

Hang in there girl...

We don't shop at Home Depot anymore ... we go to Lowe's....
I got sick of the day laborers
hanging around your cars and being perverted.

What a cute drawing! I remember when my daughter was all about ballet. She would pirouette around the house nonstop and we had to listen to classical music because that was the "right" kind of music for ballet...lol

I'm sorry March has been so difficult. I read about your "hat trick" and I know what you mean. After my mom died, it drove me nuts that when the anniversary of her death rolled around, nobody would say a word about, lest we all turn to pillars of salt or something. It's hard to not have your mom, especially when you become one.

As you once said to me...

I hug you :)

Sorry about your cabinets, bad doggie. I am also annoyed to hell with my dog...doesn't chew the cabinets but quite possibly has THE most annoying and loud bark ever. Anyone want a Jack Russell? Janet, want to trade?

Home Depot, not fun, ever!

Oy. When my husband mentioned dogs, you were the first one I thought of.

I rarely go to Home Depot...I make my husband go through all that! LOL

I love the dancing. E is dancing too - the 12 Dancing Princesses movie (Barbie) is her favorite and she dances along with them. It's adorable!

I feel you, dawg! Hair and dust kill me every day, and sometimes you just have to SURRENDER DOROTHY!

Spring's coming and you can put the dog outside. :)

Good for you for going to the gym! I've been walking, finally, and am having these really strange pains in my right foot. It's my age, isn't it. Damnit.
