Bundle of joy

Night Terrors aside. But thank you for all of those who have admitted that their kids go through the same thing...Makes me feel so not alone!

Fa has this new favorite thing. Which I have to admit, I love with all my heart.

After her bath, she likes to get wrapped in her special bath towel (one that I bought for her for Christmas) and get schnuggled in my arms while we sit in her glider.

It brings me a joy that I can not explain.

It reminds me of when she was a baby. We rock and sing and laugh and kiss and cuddle. I get all the benefits of schnuggling with a baby but the added bonus that the same baby can talk back to me and we can have meaningful conversations...

I fall in love all over again.

I live for bath-times lately. I find that I rush them so I can have a longer cuddle period.

Just me and her swaddled tightly in her towel. Listening to some music and bonding.

Mamma and daughter.

The way it should be.

Kinda makes all those tantrums and night terrors seem so, so...insignificant.

I, too loooov when they're swaddled up in their towel afterwards. Now that Bode is sitting up, my favorite time of the day is giving them a bath together. Nothing like Sibling Nekednessssss. :-)

Thanks for sharing this story. It's a favourite time around our house too, all fresh and clean and cozy in their towel. Usually Mommy gets the cuddles, but sometimes if he's really good, Daddy gets some too.

3 cheers for being nekkid!

Miles has recently being more affectionate! Once he was mobile he wasn't lovin the cuddles. I was so bumbed out! Now he is running to give the hugs and cuddles! Whoot!

Can you send her over to have a talk with The Mayor and The Rooster?

You're the shizzle, Janet. And Princess Stinkfoot is as lucky as you are. :)

Yes, we need to enjoy those moments as much as we can...

it sure goes fast.

I just don't think there's anything better than a cuddly child!!

That's what life is all about right there. I've had a hard time with Kiddo not wanting to call me mommy anymore but mom. And he doesn't like lots of hugs and kisses anymore. Makes me sad, but he is growing up.

I live for those moments as well!

Those are the best moments of my life.

Snuggly moments are the best.

I read through your night terror post, although not the comments. Darling used to have them as well. They're horrifically frightening to witness as a parent. She had nightmares, too, for a few years. She shared one with me once (the nightmare) and it made me cry.

I hope your dear one outgrows them soon.
