Since SF has been testing her newest level of limits, and taking her medicine every day she seems to be in better spirits. She has started smiling again, singing and dancing and even being polite.
I haven't had to put my foot down as hard as I thought. I knew something was wrong. She's an easy going kid. I new she was just off. It wasn't really all about her age...so far.
I also think she's getting bored. Since Valentine's day we haven't really done much. The weather being the way that it is (frickin' freezing), and school and gym being on vacation has kept us homebound more than any hermit would like to admit.
Yesterday, was a great day. She was funny, sincere and even more 'huggy'. I asked her why she was hugging me so much and she said simply, "Because I want to!" She kept telling me she loves me and that we are best friend forever...Oh! I could die right now a happy woman! It was fantastic.
We ran an errand that I needed to get done and went to lunch at a local bagel store. She ate most of her lunch and was so well behaved. She sat like a big girl, chose her own drink and basically made it fun. I thanked her for the fun lunch and for being so cooperative in the store while I did my business. And I also told her I was happy to hear her use her 'please' and 'thank you's' again. (The other day, I told her I was very disappointed that she seemed to loose her 'please' and 'thank you's' and I was hoping she'd find them soon.)
We went home and she napped like a champ. (Another thing that hasn't been regular lately) I know when I don't nap, I'm a bitch on wheels.
As we are coloring in the living room, she turns to me and says, "Mommy, I found my 'Please' and 'thank you's' and I put them back in my mouth!"
I replied, "I know wonderful girl, I am so happy you found them! Where do you think they could have been?"
"Hiding in the bushes!"
I gotta check there more often for lost items...

"I found my Please and Thank You and put them back in my mouth..." How sweet is that? I've never heard it expressed that way. Cute !
Have a wonderful weekend. Will check in next week if I have a computer.

Glad to hear she is back to normal!
Those pesky Please and Thank Yous, hiding that way. Lol.
"in the bushes"? Too cute!
Glad she's back to normal.
Children come up with the cutest things to say. Jacob says pee (for please) but hasn't made any attempt to try thank you yet. He has taken his time in the talking department for sure :(
I am the same way....I don't get enough sleep....watch out! jk.
That is so sweet that she says your her best friend. Children are such a joy!
If possible could you please send me a "clipping" from the magical "Please and Thank You" bushes... Occasionally, they seem to get lost around here too. And, though we "look" everywhere they mysteriously vanish for days. Having the bush to go to would be a great help... Thanks!
Congrats!
aww so glad things are settling down for you guys. It is so hard when they go through their phases that are less than pleasant!
In the bushes!!
Did you know that please and thank you are the secret of the nile?
Just ask Tasha,Uniqua, Austin and Tyrone!
The Backyardigans! We love that show! It's on nick jr
Who knew you were such a good juggler? ;)

That is great...she put her pleases and thank yous back in her mouth!
Glad you two had a good day together!!!
That is too cute.
I love it when my little one is all about hugs, kisses & "love you's"
AWW. I just loved to hear of your baby's love for her mommy.
Sweetpea has been saying, "mommy, I love you" every since my birthday. Tears me up! I'm glad you are also getting some "sugar."
xoxo
Maybe that is where Junior Mayhem's ears have been hiding! It certainly would explain why he CAN'T do anything I ask him to do! I am going to check there right now!
I love the ideas they come up with! TOO CUTE!
I think a lot of people have their "pleases and thank you's" hiding in the bushes. and some of them have them hiding, or stuck...somewhere else.
Do you think a winning lottery ticket is in the bushes as well? I need one of those.
I once saw a squirrel eating a candy bar in Central Park. He was moving the wrapper down carefully, as he ate, like a person would. (maybe he was a she)
not as funny as a squirrel in a car.
I once saw a dog driving a car, but when I looked carefully, it was just a small shaggy lady.
How precious! Those drawings are awesome! How old is she again? That seems developmentally advanced to have all those details. Congrats on such a fun day and sweet girl!
How cute--put them back in her mouth--when they say things like that you just want to scoop them up and give hugs.
Hee Hee Hee...
that's too cute!!
Glad to hear things are better!
