You can't say 'No'!

Tucking Fafa in for naps is getting harder and harder as the days go by.

Since the crazy schedule of the past two weeks totally threw her off, she has begun to fight the nap. However, I can fight harder. I'm older.

Lately, she won't even get into bed for a nap without a major meltdown. (I know, but I refuse to give up so easily)...So, I have started 'schnuggling' with her in bed to calm her down. I usually only do it at bedtime but it works so well then, I figure, what the heck? Right?

She loves it, I love it. We listen to her radio, chat and hug, read and play kissing games until she grabs her lovey, pops her thumb into her mouth and calms down. That's my cue to exit quietly and tell her to enjoy her rest.

The other day she says, "Mommy can you schnuggle just a little longer?" and of course I respond with ..."How can you say 'no' to a schnuggle?...Just one more song, then I have to go nap too..." (She's great with a warning! and when she thinks I need a nap, she's good with that.)

Now, every time I put her in for a nap...she says."Mommy, how can you say 'no' to a schnuggle?"

And I jump right in and schnuggle away.

How long do you think 'schnuggle time' will last until she is off on her own and not missing it....I think I'll take them as long as I can get them.

I'm going to keep doing it until they're old enough to physcially remove me from their rooms themselves... perhaps their wedding night?

It is such a special time, and it flies by, for sure. I would keep on doing it, and I'd actually try to catch a nap WITH her as much as possible!

Can I schnuggle with you, too? I'll be over about 1:30...

So, I just had another baby and now I schnuggle him!

We never say no tot the schnuggle either!!! Becca has been fighting the nap too. I fear the day is slowly approaching that she will no longer need one *tears*

We schnuggle before bed but I think we may have to start the afternoon schnuggle too!

She is so darn pretty!

Hey, I've been co-sleeping with Stephen since he was 6 months old. Schnuggle away momma! It's probably a short phase. They go through sooo many.

She is so cute! (Sometimes I fall asleep by accident during the schnuggles.)

I was about to say that I imagine you will grant those requests for as long as she makes them.

Great story...

Bethany has finally reached the age when she is conscious of the "schnuggle" and will reach for me! I love it!! Like you, I hope it never ends!!

Schnuggle...what a precious word.
My girls are 26 and 32...sometimes when I visit, we still schunggle. They never get too old for that.

Suckah!!!!! Haha. Me too. My 4yr old will still get up in the middle of the night, come cuddle with me, then (sometimes) put herself back to bed. Love it!

I go through this with Dawson, too. He never wants to nap and if he does, it's late in the afternoon and he fails to sleep at night. It sucks. I need advice! :)

I love you how you say "schnuggle"! Cute! I love snuggles too, it's hard to turn them down, that's for sure.

Warnings work wonders!!!

Wow she's looks grown up in that picture. I'm not sure what it is but she looks older than the last picture I saw.

I"m gonna try asking my wife to schnuggle when she's not in the mood...

Think it'll work? ;)
