I made sure to try to relax and breathe in the cool, fresh air at the beach. I made sure to enjoy Girl and her stone throwing and to tell her how much fun I was having with her. I made sure to tell her again and again that I was so lucky to be there with her and that I wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the entire world at that moment. I took more pictures of her and her stones. I took video of her joyful skipping on the sand.
I just tried to enjoy the moment. Something I practiced very hard to learn to do in the past few years.
That is what that picture reminds me of. Enjoying the moment. The day with my daughter.
I had fun today just being. Being with my daughter and being with myself.
I am proud of my accomplishment today. Enjoying me. Enjoying my daughter. Enjoying life.
I hug myself today...

I'm first! Woohoo!!
Great picture! I love how you described your day out with SF. Next time I'm home with my Snitch, on a week day, I'm totally taking her to the beach. Thanks for the awesome idea!
sounds like a nice day. she'll remember those lovely times, too.
What a nice day! And good photo!
You go, girl! Those are the best days to look back and remember. By the way, The President has those same shoes in camo!
HUGS You so totally rock for enjoying the moment ... I so need to get my butt to the beach!
Enjoy the moment - such a simple lesson that many of us forget.
THE BARON
FAbulous!! EXACTLY what you needced. Nothing is better for the soul than the beach. I truly believe that.
We could all use a day like that, and we certainly all could learn from your words.
Thanks for sharing. I know that I don't "enjoy the moment" nearly as much as I should.
yup. sometimes we have to force ourselves into the moment. I am sure Stinkfoot thought it was glorious....
That is so awesome! I don't live near any beaches anymore....but now that it is warmer, I am definitely able to 'get into the moment' a lot more often. Just being outdoors and letting my imagination run wild really improves my mood. That of my teenagers as well. I guess you're never too old to be outdoors!
Here's another hug...
sounds soooo relaxing....fun times!
The simplicity of this post is perfect. Thanks for sharing this day. It is a good reminder.
It's days like these that she'll remember the most. The simple moments are the ones that cut right through to the heart of us and take root.
I just found you, but I am loving it. On to read more!
What a fun day, just relaxing and being together.
What is it about the ocean that relaxes me? I just love it.
I need to do that more often.
I'm proud of you too!
Now....can you tell me how to "stop and smell the roses"? I'm entirely too neurotic for that....but I WANT to change! :)
That's what it's all about!
